By train from New York City or Hoboken: Take either the New Jersey Transit Midtown-Direct-Dover train from Penn Station to Maplewood, or the New Jersey Transit from Hoboken (PATH train from New York to Hoboken) to Maplewood. Walk North along Maplewood Avenue to Parker Avenue. Turn right (East) and walk under tracks, past Columbia High School and Shell Station to Parker and Prospect.

 

By Car:
Coming from the North, on the Garden State Parkway south:
Take exit 145 toward I-280/The Oranges/Newark/Harrison/State Route 508 0.2 mi
Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Standard County Route Marker 508/Central Ave and merge onto S Oraton Pkwy 0.2 mi
Slight left onto Whittlesey Ave 0.4 mi
Continue onto Maybaum Ave 0.2 mi
Turn right onto S Orange Ave/Rte 510 2.2 mi
Turn left onto Prospect St estination will be on the left 0.9 mi
Coming from the South, Via NJ Turnpike or Garden State Parkway, driving north
From NJ Turnpike, get on GSP:
Take exit 11 toward Garden State Pkwy/Woodbridge 0.5 mi
Continue on the ramp and merge onto Garden State Pkwy N 13.5 mi
Take exit 142B for Interstate 78 W toward Springfield
Keep right at the fork and merge onto I-78 W 1.5 mi
Take exit 50B toward Maplewood/Millburn 0.2 mi
Turn right onto Vauxhall Rd 0.3 mi
Turn right onto NJ-124 E/Springfield Ave 0.7 mi
Turn left onto Prospect St Destination will be on the right 1.1 mi

Coming from the West driving east
Use Route 78 East
Take exit 49B to merge onto NJ-124 E/Springfield Ave toward Maplewood 1.9 mi
Turn left onto Prospect St
Destination will be on the right
Coming from the East (New York City) Driving West
Take the Holland Tunnel to I-78 West 17.4 mi
Take exit 50B toward Maplewood/Millburn 0.2 mi
Turn right onto Vauxhall Rd 0.3 mi
Turn right onto NJ-124 E/Springfield Ave 0.7 mi
Turn left onto Prospect St Destination will be on the right 1.1 mi
 
More:
From Newark or Irvington:Take Springfield Ave to Maplewood. Turn RIGHT at Prospect Street to #516, or take South Orange Avenue to South Orange Center. Scotland Rd on right and Valley St on left. Take Valley St to Shell station (Parker Avenue), then turn left to top of hill.
By car: From 287 (North or South): Take EXIT 37 East on hwy #24. Stay in Local Lane when highway divides . Exit at 49B, (Maplewood). Approx. ½ mile to jug handle turn for Valley St. (First traffic light). Take Valley Street approximately 2 miles to Parker Avenue, (Shell Station on corner.) Turn Right at Shell Sta, to top of hill, (next traffic light). Ethical Society is the brown Victorian building on the North East corner of the intersection.
